Communication with the Gods
This is related to this post that I reblogged a few nights ago, which talked about how vocal folks on the internet can be about talking to the Gods, and also how this can sometimes be a little misleading. After reblogging it, I started to think about my own interactions and relationship with the Gods, and how they too don't often fit the internet's view of Godly interactions, and figured that I would share a bit about my own practice to show that face-to-face talking with Gods isn't necessarily the only way one can commune with Them.
To start off, I'll say that when I was first dipping my toes into Hellenic Polytheism, I was with groups that were very vocal about the Gods always talking to them. It was the kind of thing where they would be talking about having full-fledged conversations, or tea parties with the Gods, which caused me to put a lot of pressure on myself to experience the same. It definitely took a while after all that to have a relatively normal relationship with my Gods. As of right now, the vast majority of the time that I pray to the Gods, I feel and hear nothing. Maybe I'll have a sense of inner peace, but I think that comes from within more than anything else. Something about the rhythms in the way the prayers are spoken is soothing to me.
Hermes tends to take a very subtle approach in His interactions with me. Sometimes I know He's there only because I hit more green lights than I was expecting, or a car ride went smoother than the traffic would allow. Sometimes I find coins laying on the ground, heads-up, after a particularly successful trip, or after a desperate prayer to Him; or I find items that have been lost for a while, sitting in a very conspicuous place. Hermes isn't subtle, but He also isn't very obvious. It's almost as if He moves when my back is turned, and when I turn around again, there's a very faint sense that maybe someone was there.
Dionysos, meanwhile, has been a bit more There for me. Sometimes, there's a heavier presence to Him being around, almost as if a person is standing in the space with me. Other times, I won't feel a presence, but rather an intense emotion, that I usually can't quite place. For me, it feels like something akin to the type of madness shown in the Bacchae, although I'm fully aware of my state, if that makes sense. Rarely, I've felt His hands around mine when I pray, although it's more of a pressure than the physical feeling of hands (it's all about vibes!).
The few times I've had an experience that was a deeper communication, they were relatively abstract. One time, it came as a sudden rush of realization on a cruise ship that the Gods love us (that will be another post, lol). A few times, it's been strangely intense dreams, in which I wake up from them and have a strong feeling that it meant something, one of which led me to create this blog. And the One Singular time I have ever heard a God (Dionysos) speak directly to me, it was only one sentence, while I was trying to take a nap, and I was able to feel His presence for a while afterwards.
Anyways, this has come as a bit of a ramble, but I think the overall point that my ADHD-addled mind is trying to make is that the Gods communicate in many different ways, and not all of them are direct God-to-human talking. It's more like subtle communications that say "I'm here, I've never left you." There's something to be said, and I think this idea stretches across multiple religions, about just being still and quiet with your Gods, and the Gods being there in that silence. If we really think about it, animals have only been able to hear for about 275 million years. That's almost no time compared to the age of Earth (4 billion years), and the universe (13 billion years), and the Gods were around even before that. They lived for so long in the silence, and They are there with you in the silence as well. <3

date night (kirishima ejirou x gn. reader)
( pov: i write something sweet and mushy and cornier than a farmer's shit for no reason )
Quietly, you crack the door to your room a little. The creak resounds down the dark dorm halls, making you wince on spot. "Don't get caught," you mutter, digging your nails into your palm. "Don't get caught."
You slip through the small, open gap and start running, not sparing a glance behind you. As long as you don't get caught, it'll be worth it.
You and Kirishima will finally have an uninterrupted date.
"The first one was, but the rest sucked."
"So, you gotta boyfriend?"
"Why? You wanna ask me out?"
"Is this a make out movie?" Kirishima whispers, eyebrows raised in mock shock. You shift your position on his shoulder. Smiling, you say, "Wait till the slasher shows up."
He puts his arms round your right arm; you lean into it, sighing contently. Sure, he was almost suffocating you due to his big ass muscles. Sure, you both had already seen this movie. Does that mean this date was a flop?
Nope. You take another sip of soda, stifling a laugh. Kirishima slowly blinks at you, nervously scratching the top of his head. "Am I missing something? Or are you laughing at a gutting?"
"Oh, it's just that I happen to love you." He grins and holds onto you even tighter, like you're a jewel: hard to find but worth it.
"Well," he draws out the pronunciation, "I got somethin' to say!" He abruptly gets up, leaving you falling against his bed pillows, amused.
"Yeah?" He nods excitedly, fists held out in front of him, shoulders tense. You can't begin to understand what he's alluding too, but you sit up. He opens his mouth to speak but –
Quiet snickers arise from Kirishima's closet. "Shut your laughin' ass up, Kaminari!"
"Bro's about to say something mushy and romantic, it's either I laugh or cry!"
You collapse face first back onto the the bed, shouting cuss words into the mattress. The noises from the closet quickly shut up. Kirishima softly rubs the small of your back. "I'm so sorry. I told them that it wasn't cool and they said they'd stop but..." His voice cracks a little.
You roll over. You reach up and cup his cheek, gently stroking the spot with your thumb. You attempt a small smile to cheer him up. His friend group had tagged along as three third wheels for awhile. At first, it was amusing, even fun.
But, it gotta annoying (hella) fast. Tonight was supposed to be a private date, and well ... it wasn't anymore. A deep, lingering sigh escapes your throat.
Kirishima hangs his head in shame. "I thought tonight would be just us. I had a big surprise." He leans in and your foreheads are touching, the warmth between the two of you shared in silence. It turns into a hug, and it's only then that you hear the closet door open.
You catch a glimpse of the three goon hero students exiting the room with remorseful eyes glancing back at you. You nod briefly in their direction before meeting Kirishima's eyes again.
You lift up his chin and unwrap his arms from around you. "Go ahead ahead and tell me your surprise," you softly whisper. His familiar grin slowly returns to his face.
"Right." He takes a step back while holding your hand. He gives it a squeeze and then lets go. "I wanted it to be just us tonight because," He gets down on one knee. "I got something important to ask."
You cover your mouth in disbelief. Blood rushes to your face making you feel warm all of a sudden. You take a seat back on the bed. He scratches his neck, sudden self consciousness affecting his voice.
"We're about to graduate, but I know I don't wanna be out there without you, so, uh, will you," He anxiously digs around in his pocket. You rub your arms with sweaty palms. Can't he just get to the part where you say yes? He pulls out a black, velvet-coated box and opens it.
"Marry me?"

WHY DOES NOBODY ON TUMBLR KNOW WHAT MORUTE IS. NO IT ISNT CUTE BRIGHT PINK LANA DEL RAY. ITS RELIGIOUS GUILT AND WHITE LACE.
vvv [tw: my opinion] vvv
first off -> morbid + cute = morute. and lana del ray is in no way morute.
morute is about religious trauma/guilt and sometimes sɛxual trauma. it has things like crosses, angel wings or generally angels, and light pink/grey colors. it also features a lot of death and graves!!
it combines feminity and trauma and christianity and decaying houses and skinny girls and things from the 50s.
bright pink bows isn't morute. a lamb in a large green field isn't morute. just because you have a white lacey bow doesn't mean you're morute.
to be honest, i have never been a lana del ray fan, so i don't know a bunch about her.
but i know she's not morute whatsoever. stop saying she is!! :)
ALSO STOP MƐAT RIDING LANA. YOU'RE NOT AESTHETIC OR HYPERFEMININE YOU'RE JUST ANNOYING AND A GLAZER.

There are people on Earth—and specifically, on Tumblr—living lives so intricate, complex, chaotic, and fascinating that, if written, their biography would probably become a best-seller.
But, like. So many of the folks I’ve seen that are like this seem so unaware?? Just. Casually saying things about themselves as if it’s not incredibly rare or interesting information.
How Do I Explain To You That You Are Cool.

Following from my other headcanon post on what happened with Katsuki's arm, I've decided to dig into the immediate aftermath of the war and his hospitalisation + healing process!
This is possibly subject to change based on how the manga goes. Warning for some heavy hospital and medical talk!
IMMEDIATE AFTERMATH.
In the manga, as you might remember for you manga readers like me, Katsuki has passed out near a playground - I highly doubt that he'll be getting up again, but even if he does (by nothing short of a miracle), the repercussions are going to be immense. When the war draws to a close and Katsuki is taken to the nearest hospital, I really don't think he'll be waking up anytime soon.
We have to remember that he revived himself with his Quirk. Not only that, but Edgeshot was still working hard to ensure that Katsuki was functioning enough on his own before he left him to All For One. Combine it with the damage he's sustained in the previous battle - which Edgeshot could not have repaired all on his own - and the likelihood of Katsuki getting back up straight away from this is exponentially low. He spent two days down after the Paranormal Liberation War.
I'm estimating that he spends at LEAST a week comatose, or drifting in and out of fitful sleep, before he actually maintains any sort of lucid consciousness. Here are my main reasons:
Recovery Girl is not a be-all, end-all cure. Her Quirk uses the energy of the recipient to hasten the progress of healing, yes, but she cannot push the recipient beyond their limit lest she set them back. Katsuki's body is already under stress trying to heal naturally. Beyond her Quirk use to save Katsuki's arm, it's likely that she can't spare more of his energy to heal elsewhere, and thus he needs to continue some of his recovery naturally.
Eri's Quirk does not have the energy for a Rewind that significant. Also, she's just a kid. Let's not use her as a means to heal every single person that's sustained injuries during this war.
There is a lot of damage to cover. Even though Edgeshot repaired his organs and they were perfectly sufficient to ensure he could function again, they still endured a lot of stress and have not had the chance to heal per se. Internal injuries are tricky. This isn't even mentioning the numerous bone breaks, the muscle damage, tendons, complications with joints... Beyond his arm, we're looking at ribs and sternum for other bones. Hell, the musculature system connected to the bones is extremely complex too, and they would've been impacted. We know that Katsuki's lungs and heart took the brunt of the damage in the fight against Shigaraki. Yeah, there's a lot to heal - and with his limited energy, it's going to take a while.
Credit where credit is due: Edgeshot is the reason Katsuki does not need organ transplants. And while I'm definitely considerate of the fact that Edgeshot also repaired any damage to blood vessels that required it (specifically the most vital ones), I doubt he could've done more with the bones save for maybe... Weaving them into place, almost. And THAT would only be a temporary fix to prevent shards of bone re-puncturing the organs.
I would say that in this period, Katsuki is much more susceptible to viral and bacterial infection. Bacterial infection is increasingly likely; even if he was taken to hospital as soon as they found him, and Edgeshot sanitised himself before performing surgeries, it is increasingly likely Katsuki will endure complications because he went back into a fight the moment he woke up. Not only that, but he did so in agony.
Working on the fact that Katsuki had surgery to his heart and lungs, therefore we could call it a sort of thoracic surgery (because, you know, it's the chest region)... No wonder my guy was suffering. Have you ever looked into all the things people are not meant to do post-op for these things?
Dudes, I only considered that he'd need heavy pain medication for his arm - but he's probably drugged to absolute hell and back for his chest ALONE. On top of the fact that thoracic surgery is often described to be excruciatingly painful, but an operation like that still leaves room for potential complications like pneumonia, and it's possible his lungs are still trying to recover from collapsing in the first place. So considering that, he'd need oxygen treatment to ensure healthy oxygen saturation... They'd even have to watch his heart to make sure that there is no cardiac arrhythmia.
There's also the possibility of Katsuki developing post-thoracotomy pain syndrome, which means feeling pain in his chest months after the fact.
To summarise the immediate aftermath:
Katsuki is hospitalised and treated for injuries that weren't initially or completely repaired - or were exacerbated from his fight with AFO.
Injuries that they have to accommodate for include the impromptu thoracic surgery Edgeshot performed on Katsuki, the numerous fractured and broken bones, damage to the musculature and any connecting tissues, as well as torn tendons.
Katsuki likely develops infection; pneumonia, namely. He has no other post-op infections thanks to Edgeshot's use of Wash's bubble and proper care from the hospital.
Recovery Girl is called in to administer treatment of her own, specifically to fix bone placement first, and he is put on oxygen treatment and analgesia (heavy painkillers) to take the edge off.
He remains in a comatose state - or, he is in and out of consciousness - for the next week.
AWAKENING.
After about a week of fighting infection and his energy being poured into healing all of his wounds, Katsuki manages to hold onto consciousness. He can talk, answer questions, and take in a few visitors - though said visitors have to take precautions, because of his recovering state. He's still quite disjointed, but stubbornly coherent enough to ask of the end result for the war, as well as Izuku's whereabouts, then the class, his teachers, etc.
At this stage, Katsuki is encouraged to get up and move with others to promote the use of his organs after being out for so long. He also has to do deep breathing and coughing to keep his lungs active. Overall, though, he isn't doing too much, because his doctors don't want to set him back - they just resolved his previous infection, so it's pain management and post-op care now that he was awake to participate.
The road to recovery is shortened by advancements in medical technology and the presence of healing Quirks like Recovery Girl's, but that doesn't mean Katsuki isn't spending time in the hospital. There are a few intense days of rigorous healing, monitoring, pain management, and overall care before he's discharged to go home. (Without advancements, Katsuki would've been looking at another week-long stay. The combined damage of his arm and his chest makes his hospitalisation period lengthy as it is, but it's a small blessing he doesn't have to stay nearly as long as he might've with the absence of healing Quirks.)
As a generalisation of what his subsequent days would've looked like after waking:
There is frequent pulse checks, heart monitoring, and he often has blood taken to check his levels. If he is low on blood count in general - which is unlikely, as it was one of the first things remedied - then there is a transfusion of platelets and blood cells.
He is given breakfast. On the first day, he is unsuccessful stomaching it, but they wait until lunch to determine if he needs intervention.
After a dose of analgesia and his first deep breathing exercise of the day, Katsuki is encouraged with staff support to get up and walk around. It's difficult with the equipment attached to him, but they make it as easy as they can.
Lunch is served. On the first day, Katsuki keeps it extremely light, and he manages to stomach it on this attempt. He has no complications after this. His second breathing exercise occurs.
He is administered Recovery Girl's treatment after lunch and ends up resting through the majority of the afternoon. His third breathing exercise is just before dinner.
They encourage him to get up and move again after dinner. On the third day of this, he stubbornly attempts to do this himself, and he stumbles a few times without support. He doesn't fall. Doctors and nurses reprimand him for a reckless action, but if he hasn't seen many of his friends by now, he'll insist on their visits as a means of justifying his stubbornness.
The final breathing exercise occurs before he sleeps... Well, part of his sleep. It's broken into three parts due to checks throughout the night.
Note that he's doing this with only one arm in action. It's impressive just how much Katsuki does in this short timeframe.
DISCHARGE.
This one I'm going to try and keep brief, but Katsuki is discharged and left in his parents' care once the doctors have no reason to keep him in the hospital.
On top of the numerous setbacks enlisted about his arm, they tell him to only have frequent walks, no heavy lifting, and to have frequent check-ups with their physicians until he makes a full recovery. The timeframe for the full recovery is hastened thanks to Recovery Girl's treatment (so instead of ~6-12 weeks, look at more 4-8 weeks), but it still takes time - and his contact with the hospital seems unending for the first two weeks after discharge. Longer, when they want to check up on him every few months after he resumes his hero training.
Katsuki doesn't return to the dorms until the end of his first week at home. Even then, the school has to keep a rigorous eye on him to ensure that he doesn't push it beyond what he's been allowed to do - which, thankfully, he doesn't. He's not so reckless that he'll set his healing progress back, especially in knowing the repercussions of doing so.
The main thing is that Katsuki still has to take regular pain medication while keeping up his exercises, and I think that his parents likely agreed that he would have better luck in doing so if he was surrounded by his friends at the dorms. He cannot use his right arm and cannot join on any heroics until his doctors are sure that he is healed enough to do so. It frustrates him, but that's also why he's back at the dorm with his friends: they help him keep a level head while reminding him what he's working for.
(And as for recurrent pain, I think that Katsuki's efforts to stick to the healing process given has almost completely diminished the possibility. However, I like to think that he does experience a sort of phantom pain under specific circumstances.)

✖ How has Tumblr RP changed since you started?
Tumblr media
[Yes and no.
Some things have changed based on shifting trends. Things such as how posts are arranged, the way in which dossier's are organized, or even widely accepted rules have differed over the years. When I started roleplaying caard was not even a twinkle in it's developers eye and lots of things such as micro text were still widely popular.
I do notice that there's a stronger shift towards "live and let live" these days. A lot of things that would cause all manner of debate or salty back and fourth exchanges is really not a thing anymore.
Eg: There was a time where you could not play an antagonist without also being forced to accept anon harassment and widely accepted attitudes that you were toxic or "bad". It was presumed if you played someone evil you were also evil offsite and it used to be an exhausting debate.]

fontaine and furina having this theatrical motif around them has always felt intentional. the way furina was characterised in the first two patches almost being the personification of the ostentacious nature of european, and more precisely, the french monarchy has always come across as aforethought. the same way furina was presented as not having her nation's sympathy and indulging in her own pleasures is very akin to marie antoinette, as we all probably know (and this makes even more sense now knowing she has a similar fate of being sentenced to death by the guillotine, which we can almost infer is also related to treason by acting against the security of the "french state" or genshin's version of it: fontaine). now, to make my point i want to quote a few characters and expand a little on what i have interpreted of them.
let's start with lyney who is introduced and has a bit of a monologue on magic in the teaser for fontaine.
"the essence of magic is getting people to believe a lie. and the most important part of this is what people see."
lyney tells us, the viewer, the interpretation of a lie depends enterily on what you see and how you see it. doesn't this resonate perfectly with the title for fontaine's last archon quest and the theme that was presented to us all the way back to toy teyvat's teaser narrated by dainsleif, "masquerade of the guilty"?
"people don't realize how much they expect their eyes to tell them the truth. but it's not real it's all a show. and every part of the show is carefully controlled. controlled how? by choosing the right time, the right place and the right people."
i pointed out how lyney talks to us as the viewers because i think we're very quick to exclude ourselves from being seen as a character. it's easy to infer that a major plan is taking place thinking of one character (or a group of characters) fooling the others. but i always thought it was curious the way these things and the emphasis on being part of a play was pointed to us (you and me, if that makes sense) like we were going to be the ones fed a lie so that the curtain could fall eventually at the end. you know what's curious about this specific lyney quote? how the camera pans to clorinde and neuvillette as we heard the words "the right people". specially after seeing the trailer for the last part of the archon quest, having neuvillette aknowledge he now knows his role and hearing furina say at the end she hopes he enjoyed his part in the play ties perfectly with this.
"but keep your eyes peeled, and you might be able to turns thing to your advantage."
weather you think of yourself as the viewer or not, this phrase feels like a presage for what the future might look like.
after lyney's monologue, arlecchino chimes in and the conversation stirs a little.
"in a nutshell, magic is what you see with your own two eyes. very fun, but it's not enough."
she seems to be indicating that having a trick inst enough, that making people believe the lie is what makes the show. this trick has to be so perfect and believable that it's impossible to see through which she then compliments with:
"let me make something clear. you think of yourselves as magicians. but when you're on the stage, you're first and foremost actors. good actors hone their craft to mesmerize the whole crowd."
arlecchino makes a distinction between magicians and actors and, this way, the narrative of being part of a play is introduced once again. which makes me think of her hand creeping out from behind furina in one of the posters for the next update. so it has me wondering what her part of the play may be. seeing arlecchino characterised as a wolf in sheep's clothing and someone who would betray the tsaritsa in a heartbeat almost makes me wish for that to be the case. but i also wonder if she is doing something in exchange for the hydro gnosis. theories apart, she's definitely weaving her threads in there somehow.
i could skip the next part since we already know the furina we meet is but a superficial layer of who furina actually is and her role as the hydro archon. but the way she is introduced in the fontaine teaser really ties with everything mentioned in this post, making it clear she's the main character in the play.
"ugh boring! why do I even bother? when are we going to finally see a real twist for once?"
she's described by dainsleif in the teyvat teaser as someone who "lives for the spectacle of the courtroom" as we all have seen through the first patches. it also correlates to the whole theme of justice as entertainment which many people have expanded upon. she asks to see "a real twist" and who better to do that if not the queen of flamboyance herself?
i wanted to point all of this out because, since the beginning, i think it's been obvious furina as a character was always implied to have people change their view on her. not only by other characters but also us, who are part of this big play by following fontaine's story. this was highlighted by the sheer difference in the way traveller is treated or used in fontaine compared to other regions, having other characters play the big important moments as if we were side characters (loss of protagonism), and the ammount of control we are given over (our influence in court and our role as a lawyer, for example). this change in opinion furina was fated to have has always beem hinted to be triggered by some sort of sacrifice. being so influenced by marie antoinette, having furina turn into a scapegoat or a martyr and getting people's respect after death (either real or metaphorical) feels to fit the narrative. this is why players not liking furina has never really bothered me. i believe furina was not characterised - when she was introduced to us - to be liked, quite the opposite. it was faux, a way to manipulate our own perception and opinion on her. i think part of our "role" was to be tricked, much like what we are hinted at throughout the narrative.
#big ass post to say i really think the whole thing with people being upset at furina hate took weird proportions#not wanting to discredit the misogyny in fandoms because i know that's a thing and there were definitely being weird about her#but i also think this is the exact reaction that was expected upon giving us a character that seems selfish and irresponsible with the fate#of an entire nation on their hands#nation she 'seemed' not to care about#and even if it was fake it's hard to develop emotional connection with people you don't fully understand#which is why despite the hints we will only see her true heart in the final act#and i don't think the trailer for 4.2 would have gotten such good reviews any other way#i don't think her sudden death sentence would have shocked so many any other way#i don't know if this makes a lot of sense but i really do believe we were supposed to be played with this time#instead of being actively behind what's happening#i think that's actually my favourite thing about fontaine#i apologise if this is all very badly written 😂#but fontaine's story telling is so good!!!!#and i although i'm unable to come up with actual theories i love that there's so many fun details to appreciate and intentionality in#everything that's been delivered and showed to us#anyways thanks for coming to my ted talk on why furina hate was premeditated#which feels ridiculous to say but you cannot tell me it wasn't 😂 (to an extent at least)#i'm exploding anyone who said they'd like her if she was a boy with my mind#peace and love on planet earth ✌️#genshin thoughts#my post

oh interesting, I deeply disagree
I definitely think Harlan is meant to be flawed as well — any romanticizing of him does the narrative a disservice. it's his family, after all. he's largely responsible for how he raised his children and, by extension, how they raised their children. his money and fame affected him differently because he earned it, but his children and grandchildren were handed their privilege. (iirc he says he regrets handing Walt the publishing company because he essentially robbed Walt of the opportunity to build something of his own.)
I don't think Harlan "died trying to bring his mystery novels to life." he was taking notes on the situation before he thought he was going to die because his dedication to his novels was a character flaw (I think you could argue he didn't raise his children to be humble and 'good' because he loved writing more than his family). once Marta tells him the thing that could save his life is not in the medical bag, he sobers up immensely. reality sets in. he's no longer thinking about his novels, he's trying to come up with a way to save Marta. because he realizes he is going to die.
is it complicated and something out of a murder mystery? of course it is, that's what he knows. it's what he's good at. but he absolutely does it for Marta.
as far as the idea of Harlan "recording something to insist it wasn't negligence" — that wouldn't work imo. as far as Harlan knew, it was negligence. a mistake. which is negligence. because Marta, as a medical professional, owed Harlan, her patient, a duty of care and they both believed she had breached that duty of care. and that's just negligence as far as civil torts are involved.
if Marta had actually given Harlan a lethal dose of morphine, she would absolutely be convicted of something whether that be negligent homicide, manslaughter, etc. I'm no expert on that but I know a video from Harlan would not spare her this fate because he would be, you know, dead. prosecutors don't really care if a victim doesn't blame the person that killed them.
Harlan also tells Marta they can't try to save him because any investigation into Marta would reveal her mother as an illegal immigrant (and he knew that he had left everything to Marta in his will, and that she would not get that inheritance if she was found guilty of his death in criminal court or liable for his death in civil court) but if no one knew she was involved, her inheritance would allow her to pay for the best lawyers and keep her mother from being deported.
this story is a tragedy because Harlan died when he didn't have to. the tragedy is based on the fact that Marta and Harlan did not know he wasn't actually given a lethal dose of morphine. Harlan's actions were to save Marta, he used his knowledge of murder mysteries to help her evade police suspicion because that's what he knew and also because it makes a good movie. he'd been selfish his whole life, evidenced by the way he raised selfish children, and his last act on this earth was one of selflessness.
I think it does the movie a disservice to say he died trying to bring one of his books to life as though it was all for fun and he didn't actually care. the tragedy is that he did care, very much, so much so that he died when he didn't have to, just so Marta could be safe.
knives out is so good for so many reasons but I really appreciate how utterly, absolutely, devastatingly sad it is that Harlan didn't have to die. he didn't want anything bad to happen to Marta because of a mistake she didn't actually make. he would've been fine. she was his friend and he died to protect her. what a perfectly executed tragedy.
